BBB believes that these complaints contain a pattern of allegations and contacted the business on June 19, 2015. We requested the company provide to us steps that it is taking to eliminate the underlying cause of complaints, if any. The company responded to our request on June 22, 2015, indicating that they had been the victim of a hacking in which their customers' contact information had been stolen and used to make fraudulent phone calls. According to the company, the callers attempt to scam their customers by trying to gain access to their financial information. The company states that it has sent alerts to its customers by email and through the mail warning them about this scam. The company has also posted an alert on the home page of its website, www.thebestpcdoctor.com.
