On December 15, 2016, the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) filed an accusation against Balswick Quick Smog seeking revocation of the business' automotive repair license. According to the accusation, the business allegedly issued false smog certificates by using emissions test results from vehicles other than the ones supposedly being tested in order to pass them. The business' automotive repair license was subsequently revoked on October 13, 2017.
