I had a plumbing problem and Old Republic assigned a company to fix the problem while I was on the phone. The plumber arrived on time and quickly fixed the problem. I was pleased with the service.

Reported a problem with my dryer and they replied that a local service company would be scheduling a service call. After 2 days I called said repair service, and they replied that they've never worked with ORHP. Called ORHP right away, and I was helped by a very nice and understanding CSR. Tech had to order parts, but was back the next morning and dryer is running just fine after 3 weeks.Old Republic Home Protection Response

Atrocious! Agents on the phone flat out lie, tell you whatever you want to hear then transfer to another agent in another department and mysteriously the notes the previous agent took are not available to review. Have to repeat everything previously noted only to be told something completely different. My specific issue is with an oven that stopped working, it's been almost a month now and still no updates as to when my oven may be repaired. Be aware, they also select the worst repair companies to do the work. We has out A/C go out and the repair guy wrote in his notes that the homeowner (me) intentionally sabotaged the compressor so to get a new A/C! What?!? The issue with this A/C was that the compressor blew out the wiring harness (it melted the part where it's connected to the compressor) and blew out the Freon. How could that be set up by the homeowner? Oh, and get ready for really long wait times on hold with them on the phone. Just awful! For plumbing leak, Old Republic sent three plumbers which did not want to work on the problem. The fourth, fixed the leak in 5 minutes. The third, however, cut holes in my ceiling, removed extensive amounts of insulation and then left. Neither the plumber nor Old Republic will fix the insulation/ceiling drywall leaving me with the trouble and expense of finding a contractor to do the work. In total, I have roughly ********************************** attempting to get the leak and damage repaired. I have a second home covered by a home warranty by First American - they are excellent - responsive, accept responsibility and timely. Once you file a claim, Old Republic will send a contractor and then wash their hands with the situation. I have been waiting for more than 3 weeks to get my heater repaired. It is nearly impossible to speak with a human once a file is claimed. They want all questions to go to the contractor, but what if the contractor is the problem? they dropped me after first year i just bought a house and ac went out and they told me they couldnt renew my service. i got a new ac but i guess they felt i wouldnt be a valued customer and terminated contract after first yearOld Republic Home Protection Response

We have been without heat in our home for over a week! We have called and no one can provide us with a resolution. Everytime we call we are on hold for an hour only for someone to pick up and hang up. We have persons with medicinal conditions and no heat! The company who came out tampered with our unit snf fried our unit and OR said they cant do anything about it . Worst experience with home warranty company. Do not recommend at all. We will be seeking legal action immediately!Old Republic Home Protection Response

They called us and kept us updated on our claim. Refrigerator/freezer went out and they sent the original tech out the following day. Unfortunately it needed parts and with the supply chain issues in the country right now it took a week for the parts, but then he came and replaced the compressor the day after the parts were in.Old Republic Home Protection Response
