On July2, 2019, BBB challenged this company’s advertising that appeared in the May19, 2019 issue of the San Francisco Chronicle. The ad claimed that theGainswave Protocol was developed specifically to treat Peyronie’s Disease,Erectile Dysfunction (ED) and enhance sexual performance.
According to BBB Code of Advertising, Claims relating to performance, energysavings, safety, efficiency or results for a product or service should be basedon recent competent testing or other objective data.
BBBrequested the company substantiate their performance results by providing competent,reliable scientific data. BBB also requested the company provide their FDAPre-Market 510 Notification letter showing that the Gainswave medical device isused to treat ED and/or cure Peyronie’s Disease. BBB also asked the companyprovide documentation to support the claim that 80% of men who receivedAcoustic Wave Therapy saw a reversal of their conditions and gave up takingmale performance medications.
Todate the company has not responded to BBB’s request.
