On January 31, 2020, The Securities and Exchange Commission filed a complaint against Alex Procopio, Founder of Cuba Beverage Company, and Mark Zouvas, The CFO of Cuba Beverage Company. Charges filed allege Alex and Mark engaged in a fraudulent scheme that allowed them to quickly and cheaply profit from the sale of 180 million Cuba Beverage Shares without registering the sale of those shares. Mark made false and misleading statements to investors and prospective investors by stating that he had received no salary or fees from the business Cuba Beverage Company.
The matter is pending.
