Both websites make the statement "American owned & operated," and "satisfaction guaranteed." In addition, the Relief Scientists website states #1 foot detox in all of America" and "your body will be able to clean out the toxins, oils, acids fats, heavy metals and waste that has built up over your lifetime."According to BBB Code of Advertising, the primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.The company was notified and asked to substantiate they are Amercian owned and operated. Because of the nature of complaints received by BBB, the company was asked to remove the satisfaction guaranteed statements from both websites. In addition, the company was asked to provide BBB with substantiation that they have been named the number one foot detox device in America and to provide BBB with data proving the claim that the product will remove waste built up over your lifetime.Despite several attempts, the companies have not responded to BBB’s request.
