Advertising Review

In July 2020 the Better Business Bureau requested Delta Sporting Goods to modify, substantiate or discontinue claims made on their website that display discounted prices, and '100 % Money Back Guarantee', 'WE GUARANTEE 100% FULL CUSTOMER SATISFACTION". Additionally, BBB asked the business to include a privacy policy to the website as they collect consumer's information.

BBB received an inquiry through the BBB scam tracker alleging that business fails to deliver the product or issue a refund. In addition, BBB reached out to business requesting to update the company's contact information on their website, so that there is no confusion regarding where the company is physically located.

BBB's Code of Advertising Section 1 Basic Principles of the Code requires that advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB. Advertisements which are untrue, misleading, deceptive, fraudulent, falsely disparaging of competitors, or insincere offers to sell, shall not be used. Also, BBB’s Code of Advertising, Section 3 Comparison with own former selling price states that the former price must be the actual price at which the advertiser has openly and actively offered the product or service for sale, for a reasonably substantial period of time, in the recent, regular course of business, honestly and in good faith. Lastly, Code of Advertising (Section 20.2 Warranties or Guarantees) requires that advertisers should only use “satisfaction guarantee,” “money back guarantee,” “free trial offer,” or similar representations in advertising if the seller or manufacturer refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer's request. Also the complete details of the warranty should be seen prior to sale at the advertiser's location, viewed on the advertiser’s website or, in the case of mail or telephone order sales, made available free on written request.

BBB has been unable to determine where the business is physically located. BBB urges caution when choosing whether to do business with a company whose physical address is unknown. BBB also attempted to contact the company by phone however the number is no longer in service.

As of July 2020, the business has not responded to BBB’s request.
