On November 26, 2019, LHM Financial Corporation, Dba CNN Mortgage, entered into a Settlement Agreement with the California Department of Business Oversight. The Assurance settles allegations that the business failed to reconcile the appraisal tryst account ledger with the corresponding liability controlling account weekly; the business provided borrowers, in some instances, with a disclosure document that inaccurately stated that borrowers' loans were made under the CFL when the loans were made under the CRMLA; the business provided Fair Lending Notices to borrowers, in some instances, which failed to list the Department of Business Oversight as the agency to contact for questions or complaints. Under terms of the Assurance, the business agreed to pay a penalty in the amount of $49,000.
