On June 18, 2024, the Arizona Department of Justice filed an Indictment against the former principal Alexandra Gehrke. Charges filed allege Alexandra Gehrke is in violation of state law prohibiting various counts of conspiracy, health care fraud, receiving kickbacks, and money laundering in connection with an alleged scheme to fraudulently bill Medicare for unnecessary and expensive amniotic allografts performed on the elderly.
The matter is pending.
