The Auto Fund is Saskatchewan's compulsory auto insurance program, providing driver licensing and vehicle registration services. The Auto Fund operates on a break-even basis over time. It doesn't receive money from, or pay dividends to, the government.
SGI CANADA is the competitive side of SGI, selling property and casualty insurance in five provinces through a network of independent insurance brokers. It operates as SGI CANADA in Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, and Ontario, and also as Coachman Insurance Company in Ontario.
SGI has more than 2,000 employees and works with nearly 400 motor licence issuers in Saskatchewan. SGI CANADA works with more than 300 independent insurance brokerages in more than 1,500 locations in Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario.
SGI's head office is in Regina. It has 21 claims centres and six salvage centres across 13 Saskatchewan communities. SGI CANADA also has offices in Edmonton, Winnipeg and Toronto.
