Business ProfileforPostal Cargo CCPC
Additional business information
On October 28, 2019, BBB investigated the business practices
of Postal Cargo, a company offering transport and logistics services. This investigation
was prompted by a consumer inquiry. The consumer informed BBB that she was
contacted by Postal Cargo, with an offer of employment. The position, of Logistic
Maintenance Manager, required that she receive packages to her home address,
check and confirm the shipping labels, inspect and report the content of the parcels,
including taking pictures, and finally re-ship the packages with pre-paid labels
provided by the company. The consumer advised BBB that the business had all of
her personal information including her driver’s license, home address,
telephone number, signature, picture and void cheque. While the employment
agreement was signed by Ryan Robinson, President, all communications between
the business and the consumer were with Alice Richards.
On July 19, 2019, BBB checked the company's website (URL) to determine when it
was created and where it was registered. The website was created in November
2018, and its registrant organization is privacy protected.
On November 27, 2019, BBB confirmed, with Property Management, that Postal
Cargo is not located at 200 Kent Street. BBB urges caution when choosing
whether to do business with a company whose physical location is unknown.
BBB sent correspondence to the business via email, on November 27, 2019, and
requested the following information:
1- Business start date.
2- Current
physical location and mailing address.
3- Addresses for all locations as the company’s website states “9
offices worldwide”.
4- Preferred method of contact and the contact person’s name and title.
5- A brief description of the products or services offered.
6- A copy of all licenses required for this type of industry (if
applicable)
7- A copy of the company’s business registration. BBB was not able to
locate any registration either
federally,
or provincially, under the name of Postal Cargo CCPC.
8- An explanation as to why none of the social media links on the
company’s website connect to any
existing social media page or account.
BBB further requested clarification as to what association, if any,
Postal Cargo CCPC has with the following businesses: Equity Couriers, Unitrans
Containers Ltd., Canava Transport and Logistics, Conald Express, Fedacs
Logistics. During the course of its investigation, BBB uncovered that Postal
Cargo staff, including David Schenken/Manager,
John Doe/CEO, and Lonnie Radzinsky/Accountant, were also listed as employees on
the aforementioned companies’ websites.
As of today, BBB has
not received a reply from the business.
Based on the information detailed above, BBB cannot confirm the legitimacy of
Postal Cargo.

BBB offers the following advice when researching employment opportunities:
Employers will never ask for payment upfront for a job. Beware of businesses that ask applicants to pay for
job supplies, application, or training fees. These expenses are the
responsibility of the employer… and a big red flag that something is
wrong.
Be wary of job offers that don’t require an interview. Even during the peak hiring season, reputable companies
prefer to talk to top job candidates before hiring them. If a job offer is
presented without an interview (on the phone or in person) or is offered
only via the internet, question the company’s hiring practices and do a
little more digging.
Be wary of big money for small jobs. If an employer is promising outrageously good wages
for what seems like simple tasks such as reshipping packages, stuffing
envelopes, or answering phones, this is a red flag. These
too-good-to-be-true offers are an attempt to steal your personal information
from a fake job application, and can take a long time to recover from.
Never work for a company before they hire you. A legitimate company will not ask potential applicants
to complete complex projects before making an official offer. Before beginning
any work, request an offer letter or confirmation in writing of what the
job entails, including an official start date and compensation
details.
