Additional Information for Boxers Paradise

Since April 2021, BBB has received numerous Scam Tracker reports and customer reviews for Boxer's Paradise. Alternate names used by this group have also included Den of Boxers and Den of Pugs.

Consumers state they inquired about available pups using an online form on the group’s website where they advertise to be breeders of boxers (and sometimes pugs). Several complainants stated correspondence was only through email. Consumers were asked to sign a sales agreement and to make payment through Zelle. Prices were $800 for a puppy, with a $500 deposit. The company offered for consumers to pick their puppy up or to ship the puppy through “a trusted shipping company”, USA Cargo Logistics, with shipping fees ranging from $80.00 - $150.00.

The consumers that traveled to the given address were either met by unsuspecting residents not associated with Boxer’s Paradise or found the address to not exist.

None of the complainants have received a puppy, but all have lost their money.

BBB investigation found the group has used several websites including, denofboxers.com (registered March 23, 2021), dotingboxers.com (registered April 16, 2021), denofpugs.com (registered May 12, 2021) and boxersparadise.com (registered May 20, 2021). On June 25, 2021, boxersparadise.com was the only active website. UPDATE: As of July 12, 2021, another website, boxerscreek.com (registered June 27, 2021) was discovered to be active.

In reviewing the different websites, BBB noted the photos used in the testimonials were all copied from other websites on the internet. The verbiage used for the testimonials were “borrowed” from another boxer breeding website. The testimonials and “available puppies” are the same on every website with the same information. BBB received scam tracker reports stating “Daisy” has been sold at least three times.

The group has used several different addresses, none of which have ever been found on the websites. Two of the Charleston, WV 25302 addresses were actually private residences that were in no way associated with the sale of puppies. An address in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma appears to be a nonexistent address.

The “shipping company’s” website, https://usacargologistics.com was registered on January 21, 2021, according to Whois.com. The website shows "Our Partners" on the bottom of the home page, with UPS included. UPS prohibits the shipping of all mammals, therefore UPS is not a partner and the use of their logo is trademark infringement. The website also shows on their site they were “Copyright 1782”.

UPDATE: As of August 16, 2021, another Scam Tracker report was received for Hilltop Boxers. The website, hilltopboxers.com, was registered on August 9, 2021 and identical to the other websites. The address used was another Charleston, WV 25314 address that was actually a private residence. The consumer stated the puppy was $800, but they were asked to pay a deposit of $500 through Zelle.

BBB tips for avoiding puppy scams:

• Don’t buy a pet without seeing it in person. Do an internet search of the picture of the pet you are considering. If the same picture appears on multiple websites, you may be dealing with a fraud. You also can search for text from ads or testimonials to see if the seller copied it from another site.
• Never pay a stranger with a money order, prepaid card or through Zelle/Venmo. Always use a credit card in case you need to dispute the charges.
• Research prices for the breed you are interested in adopting. If someone is advertising a purebred dog for free or at a deeply discounted price, you could be dealing with a fraudulent offer.
  
• Only use websites, with contact information. When businesses hide information, this is a red flag. Always verify the information given. Check BBB.org.
