As of March 16, 2018, BBB has received two complaints and one scam tracker report from consumers alleging that after finding a classic car priced below marketplace value online and negotiating with a seller who alleges they are out of the country, the consumers are told the seller has contracted with a third party shipping company called, Gelston Transport advertising on gelstontransport.com to act as the intermediary in the transaction and as the transport company.  After contacting Gelston, the consumers are sent payment instructions, a bill of sale and contract with instructions to wire the payment.  After the consumers wire the payment, the vehicle never arrives.

BBB found Gelston Transport’s advertised address on Westbow Rd belongs to an auto body shop who is not related to this business.  BBB has been unable to find a physical location for this company. Gelston Transport does not have a Washington State Business License which is required to do business in Washington State, a Federal Department of Transportation number to transport vehicles nor an escrow license to hold and wire funds with Washington State Department of Financial Institutions.  The website, gelstontransport.com was registered on February 5, 2018 and is privacy protected.
