On April 21, 2020, BBB contacted Indestructible Shoes regarding an advertising claim found on its website, https://indestructibleshoes.com/. Specifically, the company claims, "Here at Indestructible Shoes, our mission is to provide comfortable, stylish, and safe work shoes that are built to last for decades. We don’t skimp out on our materials – we only use extremely durable and lightweight material to ensure that our footwear solutions are strong, safe, and built to last for years."
When using the term “indestructible” in product advertising, suggesting that the products are made to last a lifetime is considered misleading. Consumers are claiming that when products are received they are of sub quality and do not resemble the ordered shoes. After contacting the company for replacements or money returned Indestructible Shoes does not respond.
Consumer have also filed claims on BBB Scam tracker claiming that the products now being ordered are not being received and any communication to cancel is not responded to.
Advertisements which are untrue, misleading, deceptive, fraudulent, falsely disparaging of competitors, or insincere offers to sell, shall not be used.
Despite written requests, as of May 19, 2020, Indestructible Shoes failed to substantiate or modify its advertisement. Indestructible Shoes has failed to respond to any correspondence from Better Business Bureau
