          On January 19, 2021, Better Business Bureau learned of a possible Employment Scam involving a business operating as Havens Home Remodeling. The business claims to be hiring Administrative Assistants, Data Entry, and Customer Service representatives with a starting pay of $30.95 per hour plus incentives. The company is offering medical and dental insurance, long-term disability, sick leave, life insurance, 401k, and profit sharing. The interview process requires the applicant to download the app Hangouts. After downloading the app, the applicant is to invite Mr. James Patrick to the interview by typing in “her” email address, patrickjames.hiringoffice@gmail.com. The website for Havens Home Remodeling can be found at https://www.havenhomesremodeling.com/. They advertise an address of 929 108th Avenue NE Bellevue, Washington 98004 with a telephone number of 385-399-4846 and 234-319-8753.

          Research by Better Business Bureau revealed that the 385 area code is located in Salt Lake City, Utah and the 234 area code is located in parts of Ohio. The Washington State Department of Revenue reports that Havens Home Remodeling is not a licensed business in Washington State. The Utah Division of Corporations and Commercial Codes reports that Havens Home Remodeling is not a licensed business in the state of Utah. No business licensing information can be found with the Ohio Secretary of State.

          Better Business Bureau would like to warn consumers to refrain from submitting personal information to Havens Home Remodeling for the purposes of seeking employment.
