Customer complaints in BBB files allege that information about restrictions on use of the travel certificates and the assessment of fees for what had been described as free travel and hotel stays were only disclosed in a piecemeal fashion as consumers attempted to use the certificates. In addition, different vendors were involved in the various steps, so that resolution of disputes involved confusing communication. Orbital Promotions generally responded to complaints by referring to its self described limited role as a middle man in disputes involving other vendors. The company sometimes offered to work with the complainants and provide replacement certificates.
