Ad Review
American Assemblies has been the subject of a BBB advertising review challenging their “Customer Satisfaction Guaranteed” claim on americanassemblies.com. Such claims if not substantiated do not meet Better Business Bureau Code of Advertising guidelines
According to the guidelines, "When using the term “customer satisfaction guaranteed” the advertiser should clearly and conspicuously include a statement with the complete details of the guarantee. Advertisers should only use “customer satisfaction guaranteed,” or similar representations if the company refunds the full purchase price of the advertised service at the consumer's request.”
BBB requested written clarification from the company on the specifics on their “customer satisfaction guaranteed" claim and offered guidelines on substantiating the claim. American Assemblies has failed to respond to the BBB regarding this ad challenge.
