Alert
In October 2022, BBB investigated TK Construction’s business practices. This investigation was prompted by complaints that were filed, advertising issues, consumer inquiries, and scam-tracker reports. They were asked to confirm basic information about the business and that information was not received.
Consumers have filed complaints regarding the business practices of TK Concrete. It is said that the owner enters contracts to pour concrete, accepting half the payment upfront, and then never returns to finish the project. Specifically, consumers report that after agreeing under contract to pour and refurbish their driveways, he will take half the payment and begin the initial process of tearing up the old concrete.
He states that he will return in a few days to finish the process and never returns. Consumers are given reasons like “inclement weather,” or “waiting on a shipment of concrete.” Consumers are then given dates the owner will be back to finish the project. When the date arrives, no one shows up. Consumers who try to contact the contractor allege the voicemail is full, a not-in-service message plays, or the phone rings continuously.
In addition, to the customer service issues, consumers are not receiving refunds for the projects. They have paid upwards of $1,000 upfront and refunds are not issued.
TK Construction also had some advertisement issues. On their website, they made “satisfaction guarantees” which violates the BBB Code of Advertising.
As of 11/30/2022, this business has not responded to the investigation letters and has not responded to the complaints that were filed against them. BBB does not know where the business is physically located. BBB urges caution when choosing whether to do business with a company whose physical location is unknown and whose contact information can’t be verified.
