Business Alert
BBB opened and investigation after receiving phone calls requesting more information on this business. After further investigation, the BBB found that there is no record with the IRS that this organization is a charitable organization (501(c)3). If this organization is not 501(c)3, it should be fully disclosed that donations are not tax deductible.
Several mail out were sent to Hatchery Sober House seeking further information such as Board of Directors, Officers and tax exempt status. To date these inquiries remain unanswered. Even though callers have indicated that Mr. Fortenberry is the Director for this rehab center, the webpage indicates Mr. Tharp is the Director.
At this time the BBB has no choice but to issue a review of Hatchery Sober House alerting the public to the results of our investigation, i.e. confusion over Officers and tax exempt status.
