Accreditation Revocation
On 05/28/2024 this business's accreditation in the BBB was revoked by the BBB's Board of Directors due to failure by the business to adhere to the BBB requirement that Accredited Businesses meet and abide by the following standards:

1D. Maintain at least a B rating in all company-owned locations and its headquarters.
6. Address disputes forwarded by BBB quickly and in good faith.

Pattern of Complaints
BBB files indicate that Streamline Energy Corp has a pattern of complaints concerning consumers' performance of solar panels. Consumers allege they do not experience a reduction in their electricity bills and in some cases allege paying more for electricity after installation of solar panels. Furthermore, consumers allege difficulties receiving their solar rebates from Streamline Energy Corp.
On February 14, 2023, BBB submitted a written request to the company encouraging them to address the pattern of complaints. On February 17, 2023, Streamline Energy Corp responded to BBB stating customers are issued rebates within 30 days of the activation of their system by the local utility. This is when lenders release profits to Streamline Energy Corp from the system installation and they can pay their customers at that time. As the process varies per utility it is also leverage to make sure customers sign all of their paperwork through the interconnection process with the utility. Dependent on the utility company's process for inspection and activation it can take 60 days to 6 months. Streamline has made it clear in their contracts that this is paid within 30 days of system activation.
Streamline Energy Corp responded that billing credits depend on when a system is activated due to the seasonality of solar system production. System bill credits are generally from February to June and the remaining times of the year are either a break-even or a deficit owed as long as the customer is putting in the same amount of electricity as the previous year, no net money will be due from the customer.
If a customer is activated in June it is likely their first 6 to 8 months will have a deficit. Streamline Energy Corp advises customers to wait for the full 12 months for them to fully evaluate their system performance and make adjustments including adding panels.
