The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the governments allegations, which have not yet been proven.
On May 5th, 2017, the PA's Office of the Attorney General's Bureau of Criminal Investigations announced the arrest of the owner of C&M Accounting and Tax Solutions and charged him theft of money from clients. More specifically, the owner, Nick J. Chacanias, stole over $76,000 from six clients claiming for whom he was filing their tax returns with state and federal governments and then taking monies paid to him by clients for payment of taxes owed and then failing to file their returns.
