The Better Business Bureau contacted the company due to consumer complaints. Consumers allege that they had paid for items and services they had not received. Consumers stated they paid for memorial markers and claim they are not placed correctly. Consumers state that the plots are not maintained.
The BBB requested a response on what may have been the cause and any remedies planned. The business responded on May 10, 2021 and stated that they have had delays due to Covid 2019 as marker deliveries have been slowed by marker vendors' decrease in employees to protect their staff. The business also stated they have had import and delivery delays. The business claimed they are improving the speed on which the markers are installed.
StoneMor has also stated they have been investing in its properties to improve roads and mausoleums, and that all of their locations are compliant with state laws.
