          On July 30, 2024 Blakewell Farms & Forestry came to the attention of Better Business Bureau (BBB). At that time BBB had received multiple inquiries regarding business practices and advertising.



          The business claims to “Pay Top Dollar for Walnut and White Oak”. BBB does not have sufficient background information on this business. BBB made two or more requests for background information from the business. BBB has not received a response from this business and/or has not been able to verify information received from this business. On August 27, 2024, BBB checked what information could be located regarding the business in order to determine if the business was licensed, legitimate and registered. There was no website found. The business IS registered in Ohio. BBB sent correspondence to Blakewell Farms requesting additional information. BBB contacted the State Plant Regulatory Official (SPRO) regarding selling and buying wood in Ohio. We are awaiting more information to disclose.

           

          On November 14, 2024 the business contacted the BBB regarding their rating. The BBB explained the advertising concerns and requested more information about the business. The business is aware and stated they will supply documentation to the BBB with substantiation regarding the advertising and regarding being licensing and insured.

          BBB will continue to monitor.
