On October 4th, 2019 the business entered into a Consent Order with the State of California Department of Business Oversight. The Consent Order settles allegations that the business provided incorrect disclosure documents and overcharged borrowers per diem interest. Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed to ensure all policies and procedures are compliant with Financial Code, to refund any overcharged per diem interest amounts to borrowers identified in the 2016 Examination, plus interest at 10% per annum, to both self audit and comply with any Commission approved reviews, and to pay penalties imposed by Commission.
