On June 20, 2024, BBB contacted TCGplayer regarding a high volume and pattern of serious complaints. BBB received complaints alleging: consumers being locked or deactivated without warning from their accounts, experienced fraud activity, received damaged or counterfeit items, purchases were rejected without reason, and refunds and complaints have not been resolved.
We have also identified a pattern in the business responses
to complaints stating; Our policy at the time of sign-up states that we
reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time for any
reason, at our sole discretion, and, we do not currently utilize phones for our
customer service, we primarily operate via email.
The business also responded to the pattern of complaints
stating the following: agreed to by the user, not responded to by the user, within
our policies users agreed to upon utilizing our platform, provided their
Marketplace Seller Agreement and TCGplayer Community Guideline, and should
there be any complaints we can directly act on, we are happy to assist should
they be actionable.
