Ad Review
On 11/20/09 a consumer alleges that the company advertised that they would be holding auditions for children in front of a Disney Channel producer. After receiving a "call back," the consumer alleges that in order to qualify for the "call back" a minimum tuition payment of approximately $2,000 was required. This tuition payment was never brought up during the audition or on any advertisements for the audition. According to BBB's Code of Advertising, no advertisement should be published unless it is a bona fide offer to sell the advertised merchandise or service. Subsequent full disclosure by the advertiser of all other facts about the advertised article does not preclude the existence of a "bait" scheme. Upon contact by BBB, the company failed to respond.
