Alert
Based on a complaint we've received from a consumer, BBB believes Yes
Delivery LLC is a fraudulent reshipping operation. Reshipping schemes
are when scammers use stolen credit cards to buy merchandise and then utilize unsuspecting people - under the guise of a job offer (as a
forwarding or shipping agent) - to distribute the stolen goods
nationally or out of the country, where the items are then likely sold
on the black market. These reshipping scammers find victims through job
search sites, such as Indeed or Monster.com, and say they're looking for
workers to help expand their operations in the United States. In
reality, there are no real jobs; they just need scapegoats in case
authorities become aware of their scheme. Or else they take sensitive
personal information submitted by job applicants - such as their Social
Security number - and use it to steal their identities.
On their
website, Yes Delivery LLC is claiming a link to Hornbacher’s, a grocery
store in Fargo and other locations. However, Yes Delivery LLC is not
associated with Hornbacher’s in any way.
BBB is advising people
to be very careful about 'offers' like this, as they could be charged
with a crime if they become embroiled in these schemes. Job hunters
should also be leery about providing too much personal information
online as scammers are opportunistic and may use that information to
open lines of credit.
When searching for employment, job
searchers should immediately flag ads that fit this description, in
whatever publication or on whatever website they're found. If you
believe you're become entangled in a reshipping scheme, contact the
United States Postal Inspection Service at www.uspis.gov
