On April 25, 2017, BBB received a scam tracker report from a consumer who received a debt collection notice from Mid Asset Management, advertising a PO Box in Helena, MT. BBB could not find the company registered with Montana Secretary of State. BBB found the advertised PO Box is the same as the Montana State Library. BBB could not find a website or physical location for the company. BBB could not find the company licensed to collect debt in the state where the consumer lives. On May 1, 2017, BBB called the business but the agent was unwilling to disclose the location of the company. BBB left a message for an employee who claims to work in the legal department and is awaiting a response.
