Pattern of Complaints
PATTERN OF COMPLAINT
BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints concerning receipt of payment for legal services that are not rendered. One complainant paid:
- $1,500 for negotiation of their debt settlement with creditors.
- $1,000 for bankruptcy services.
- $500 for collection of money owed to them from bankruptcy for the sale of their house.
The complainant who paid $1,500 alleged that the law firm "does not follow-up nor meet deadlines." This complainant reported receiving notices from court saying that they'd received no responses from the firm, and after calling and e-mailing the firm for over a month with no response, she received a response, which said all of the necessary documents had been filed. However, a notice from the U.S. Trustee confirmed the court had received no responses from the firm. The complainants also alleged that the firm has not been responsive and that their phone, e-mail, and website are inactive. According to one complainant, a receptionist at the building where the firm is located said Jennifer Dodson "packed her things and left."
The BBB notified the firm about each complaint AND notified it about the pattern of complaints. But the firm did not respond.
