Consumers describe having e-mail contact with the "seller," making payment via an online payment platform (e.g., CashApp), then being solicited for additional money to cover "permit papers," shipping, a crate, etc. BBB notes that there is no business with the name 'Alex Family Boxer Puppies' registered with the Minnesota Secretary of State's office, and the website in question was just registered on 12/23/21. If you are currently in communication with Alex Family Boxer Puppies about a puppy purchase, BBB strongly advises you to discontinue communication, and not send money. If you have already lost money to this entity, you may wish to dispute the charge with your payment method, and file a complaint through the FBI's 'Internet Crime Complaint Center' at www.ic3.gov.
