Ad Review
On December 19, 2022, BBB Serving Eastern Michigan and Upper Peninsula asked the business to substantiate claims made in its online advertising. BBB's Code of Advertising requires advertisers to be prepared to substantiate such claims through independent scientific testing.
The following are examples, but not a comprehensive list of advertised claims for which BBB requested substantiation:
~"supercharges your body's biological processes to relieve PTSD"
~"helps people with substance use disorder overcome their dependence on alcohol or drugs."
~"The infusion has anti-aging properties and helps with symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, and neurological disorders."
~"combats various conditions, including: PTSD, depression, anxiety, addiction, traumatic brain injuries, neurological diseases."
~"often recommended to help with fibromyalgia, acute asthma, migraines, cardiovascular disease, and hyperthyroidism"
BBB's Code of Advertising states, "The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB."
Section 34 of BBB's Code of Advertising also states, "Claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data."
As of January 2023, the advertising claims remain unsubstantiated. The business has not conducted an testing on its products and referred to other websites with similar claims, which would not constitute competent and reliable scientific substantiation.
