On October 7, 2022, the Michigan Department of State summarily suspended the license of Carvana due to violations of the Michigan Vehicle Code. The violations cited include failing to make application for title and registration within 15 days of delivery, committing fraudulent acts in connection with selling or otherwise dealing in vehicles where Carvana employees admitted destroying title applications and all applicable documents, failing to maintain odometer records, and several other violations. The Department will seek revocation of the license at an administrative hearing.
