          RTL Custom Remodeling states they offer customized home improvements and identifies as a handyman. According to the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), a Residential Builder/Maintenance and Alterations license is needed for all residential services that require maintenance or alteration to a residential structure, such as roofing and tile installation, unless the work (including labor and materials) is under $600. RTL Custom Remodeling's website states they offer these services. BBB could not confirm with the company that the work is under $600, nor could BBB locate a license with LARA as of 1/14/2025. The company also indicates on their website they offer plumbing and electrical services, which each require a separate license. BBB was unable to locate such licenses associated with this company.
