Government Action: BBB reports on known government actions involving business’ marketplace conduct:
MD AG Office for Consumer Protection v. Residential Lawn and Landscape, LLC
Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced today that his Consumer Protection Division filed charges against Michael Buell, the owner and operator of Residential Lawn and Landscape, LLC, which is no longer in business. The charges allege that Buell and his company, Residential Lawn, took full payments from consumers for lawn and landscaping goods and services and failed to provide the promised goods and services. Buell is also charged with taking unauthorized double payments from some consumers and failing to reimburse those charges.

The Attorney General’s lawsuit will seek restitution, as well as penalties, costs, and an injunction against Buell and his company to prevent him from harming other consumers. The case is scheduled for a hearing at the Office of Administrative Hearings beginning on April 30, 2024.

Consumers with complaints against Michael Buell or Residential Lawn and Landscape, LLC may call the Consumer Protection Division at 410-528-6337, file a complaint online at www.marylandattorneygeneral.gov, or write to the Consumer Protection Division at 200 St. Paul Place, 16th Floor, Baltimore, MD 21202.
