Refund and Exchange Policy
The business states their refund policy is as follows:
For purchases of new materials:
Most stock merchandise can be returned within 30 days in unused, like-new, 100% saleable condition and in the original manufacturer’s packaging. A copy of the receipt must accompany all returns. All damage and shortage claims should be made within 30 days. Store credit for the return will be issued. All credits must be used within six months. Custom-made products such as cabinetry, replacement windows, storm windows, and doors are not returnable. There is a $25 returned check fee.
For Reuse Center purchases (used/donated materials):
No returns or exchanges. All sales are final. The Reuse Center at Boston Building Resources does not accept returns and does not issue store credit. Materials at the Reuse Center are purchased “as is,” with no warranties or guarantees, stated or implied. All purchases must be picked up. We do not deliver or ship any items. After you pay the deposit on your purchase, either in person or through our e-store, your items must be paid for in full and taken away by 3:00 p.m. the following Saturday (even if you put a deposit on an item on Friday afternoon). In fairness to our other customers, Boston Building Resources can not grant extensions on the pick-up time.
Fee for non-pickup:
If you do not pay for and collect your purchase by the designated time, Boston Building Resources will make the items available to other customers and refund your deposit, less a 25% administrative fee. If the deposit was paid in person, refunds will be mailed from our administrative office within 10 business days of the intended pick-up date. If the deposit was paid online, the refund will be issued through PayPal. There are no cash refunds or store credit.
Workshop cancellations:
If you register for a workshop and cancel at least one week (seven days) before the class, you may receive a refund, less a $5 registration fee. If cancellation occurs by 4:30 p.m. on the Tuesday before the class, you may receive a class credit, less a $5 registration fee. All other cancellations are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
Credit card purchases:
There is a $5.00 minimum for credit and debit card purchases.
