On 9/13/2018 the US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) announced that it had charged Lemelson Capital Management, LLC and its principal, Gregory Lemelson, with allegedly profiting from a scheme to drive down the stock price of a business in which he had an interest, and would benefit from the short sale of its stock.
