PRICES
Prices are subject to change without notice and will be confirmed upon invoicing.
PAYMENTS
Payment must be received in full [14] days prior to the course start date. Payment must be made in US Dollars and can be done in
cash or by travelers' checks, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express), certified bank check payable to Boston School of English (“BSML”), or bank transfer. If you pay by bank transfer, please send a copy of the transaction receipt by email to admissions@studyenglish.com.
REFUND AND CANCELATION POLICY
All enrollment fees, housing fee (if applicable), and the express mail fee (if applicable) are non-refundable.
All refunds are made to the original fee payer using the same payment method.
In the event that a refund is due, a prorated refund will be calculated on a weekly basis. When determining the number of weeks, BSML will consider a partial week the same as if a whole week were completed, provided the student was present at least one day during the scheduled week.
Acceptance of an enrollment is made on the understanding that the student will remain for the duration of the course booked and for the hours of study booked. Group-course tuition fees for cancelled weeks cannot be converted to equivalent 1:1 lessons. Course duration cannot be extended by reducing the number of hours per week studied. Any and all fees are non-transferable.
CANCELLATION PRIOR TO ARRIVAL AND NO-SHOW
If a visa application is rejected and BSML receives written evidence at least fourteen [14] days prior to arrival, a full refund of all monies paid, less non-refundable charges (application fees, housing fees, express mail fees, and tuition deposit) will be made.
If a student cancels at least fourteen [14] days prior to the start of scheduled classes, BSML will refund all monies paid, less nonrefundable charges (application fees, housing fees, express mail fees, and tuition deposit).
In the event that BSML is provided with a notice of cancellation within seven [7] days of the scheduled arrival date, [1] week of accommodation and one [1] week of tuition in addition to nonrefundable charges (above) will apply.
If BSML cancels a program or class subsequent to a student's enrollment, BSML will refund all monies paid by the student, less nonrefundable (application fees, housing fees, express mail fees).
WITHDRAWAL OR TERMINATION AFTER START OF CLASS
For courses of 4 weeks or fewer, lessons cannot be cancelled. Tuition fees are not refundable.
For courses of 5 weeks & over:
Students who terminate their course in the first 4 weeks: BSML will refund all tuition except the first 4 weeks (at the non- discounted rate in the BSML Price List).
For students who withdraw after the first four weeks but before or at the mid-point of their program, BSML will retain a prorated amount of tuition at the non-discounted rate found in the BSML Price List.
There will be no refund to Students who terminate their course after the midpoint of their program.
Students who enter the US on an I-20 obtained through BSML who either cancel their course prior to the course start date or who never attend their course will be charged the following fees:
For a program of 12 weeks or less; all tuition charges for up to four weeks, any accommodation charges incurred and any nonrefundable fees.
For a program of 12 weeks or more; all the tuition charges for up to six weeks of the first term/session, any actual
accommodation costs incurred by the institution, and any non-refundable fees.
Students who are terminated by the school due to violation of school policies, local, state or federal law will be referred to the BSML Cancellation and Refund Policy for determination of any potential refund due.
CHANGE OF ENROLLMENT
BSML reserves the right to charge an administration fee of $75 each time the course or housing are changed or postponed after BSML has confirmed the initial enrollment. This also includes requests for changes once the student is at school.
Enrollment changes will take effect on the following level start date.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Accommodation placements confirmation is based upon availability at the time of enrollment. Housing confirmation is sent two weeks prior to the start of the program.
If a student changes the start date within in [7] days of the start date of accommodation, BSML reserves the right to offer alternative housing accommodation.
Should the arrival day be postponed, BSML cannot guarantee the original housing accommodation placement.
Change or Extension of Accommodations Request: A change of accommodation and/or extension of accommodation request will incur an additional $50 administrative fee.
Cancellation of homestay and/or apartments accommodation after arrival: Students leaving their accommodation must provide notice 4 weeks prior to termination. After deducting the price of accommodation used, including the required notice period, charged at standard accommodation rates, students will be refunded the remaining accommodation costs.
Cancellation Prior to Arrival: Accommodation cancelled up to 2 weeks prior to arrival will get full refund of accommodation fees paid less the non refundable housing fee. In case of housing cancelations after the two weeks BSML will refund all monies paid by the student less one week of housing and the non refundable housing fee.Students arriving between 20.00 – 08.00 may be asked to book alternative accommodation in a hotel on their first night due tolate/early arrival at accommodation. Some accommodation options may charge late and/or early arrival surcharges, this information is available upon request.
Where possible, special dietary requirements will be accommodated. Availability and any applicable fees will be confirmed upon request.
Students must arrive at their Homestay accommodation before 22:00. Students arriving after 22:00 may be asked to book
alternative accommodation in a hotel on their first night due to late arrival at Homestay.
Homestay accommodation check-in is on the Saturday prior to the start of the program. The check-out day is on the Saturday immediately following the end of the program. Additional fees apply for any early check-in and late check-out and is subject to availability. BSML reserves the right to assign alternate host family accommodation for students checking-in or checking-out outside the expected arrival/departure times.
REFUND DUE DATES
For students cancelling before arrival, refunds will be made within 45 calendar days of the scheduled day of class or the
documented date of cancellation, whichever is earlier.
For students cancelling after arrival, the refund due will be paid within 45 calendar days from the last day of a student’s attendance.
Any refunds due will be paid to the person or organization who originally paid the fees in the manner in which original payment was received.

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS AND START DATES
BSML will be closed on Public Holidays. BSML does not make up for lessons missed on these dates. Exceptions are made for private instruction (one-to-one lessons), which will be made up. There is no refund for lessons missed.
Course start dates fall on a Monday. If this day is a public holiday, the course will begin on the following working day.
There are no classes for new students on start dates.
EXPULSION
BSML reserves the right to expel students for unacceptable or unlawful behavior or lack of attendance. Any potential refund will be calculated under the guidance of the BSML Cancellation and Refund Policy and any unpaid fees become immediately payable.
Repatriation is at student’s own expense. BSML requires that students maintain an attendance level of a minimum of 80% or greater.
LIABILITY
BSML and its staff and representatives will not be liable for loss, damage or injury to persons or property howsoever caused, except where liability is expressly imposed by law. BSML will not be liable in the event that any service contracted to be supplied by BSML becomes impossible to supply for any reason or any cause outside the control of BSML.
FORCE MAJEURE
BSML will not be responsible for any failure to comply with any of its obligations (and therefore shall not be required to provide any compensation) if the failure is occasioned by any cause beyond BSML’s reasonable control. Nor shall BSML be responsible for any costs incurred by or on behalf of the student as a result of any such cause. Such causes shall include but shall not be limited to act of government, war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, unusually adverse weather conditions and infectious diseases.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO RELEASE
I hereby grant to Boston School of English the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish photographs and videos of me, or in which I may be included, my children, family members and/or individuals under my guardianship, for College publications, electronic reproductions (web sites) and/or promotional materials or any other purpose and in any manner or medium. In addition, I grant my permission to alter the same without restriction; and to copyright the same. I hereby release the photographer and BSML from all claims and liability relating to said photographs and videos.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT
I understand that BSML is not financially responsible for me and/or my dependents, and that I need a minimum of $2500 plus $500 for every dependent per month to cover tuition, housing, and living expenses. I also understand that I will not be allowed to re-register to continue studies at BSML if I have any outstanding financial obligation to BSML.I certify that the information provided in the application is true.
