Children's Miracle Network provides: 1. Pediatric equipment and services through Christus St. Patrick Hospital and reaches into communities from the Sabine River to the Achafalaya Basin.2. Grants to non-profit social service agencies dealing with health related educational services and programs. Programs are included for those suffering from child abuse, birth defects, AIDS, or injury.Some of the items supplied to various groups in the service area 2002 include:*Brochures on nutrition and danger of alcohol and drugs during pregnancy;*Play/Art Therapy equipment;*Child & Baby Manikins;*Materials for bereaved parent self help group;*Supplies for immunization program;*Smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, cabinet locks, outlet covers and carbon monoxide detectors for distribution to families in need;*Computer & educational software; and computers for after school program;*Books, videos TV-VCR for home education;*Portable audiometer for screening students
