Midland Care is a not-for-profit organization serving NE Kansas since 1978, providing solutions to individuals with challenging care needs. It provides services through the following programs: Hospice Home Care, The House (in-patient hospice care), PACE (Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly), Adult Day, Thrive at Home, Home Health, Palliative Care, Residential, Assisted Living, and Grief and Loss. Midland Care has also been chosen to participate in the Medicare Care Choice Model study sponsored by the Center for Medicare/Medicaid. Midland Care has their administrative offices in Topeka, Kansas, with satellite offices in Lawrence, Ottawa and Valley Falls.In 2000, Midland Care built the House an in-patient hospice facility, the first in the state of Kansas. In 2007, Midland Care added the PACE (Program of all Inclusive Care for the Elderly), this is a program that wraps services around the frail-elder to keep them safely in their home. Participants in this program are nursing home eligible, but it has been determined if they had these services they could remain in safely in their home. The number of individuals using our services has grown in the last few years. it has served over 5,000 individuals since 2000 in its 18-bed in-patient center. Its PACE program has grown to over 200 participants. Meals on Wheels was added to its list of programs in January 2017.
