    In 10-2019, the BBB investigated The Best Man Gifts' business practices. The investigation was prompted by a pattern of complaints in which consumers reported: 

    • Paying for items on the business's website but not receiving those items. 
    • Receiving e-mail confirmations that their orders (that never arrived) would arrive in two to three weeks. 
    • E-mailing, leaving voicemails, and sending text messages but not receiving responses. 

    A complainant reported ordering $684 worth of gifts. Her credit card was charged the same day, and she received an e-mail saying her order would arrive in approximately three weeks. It never arrived. She reported calling, e-mailing, leaving voicemails, and texting but not receiving a single response. 

    A complainant reported ordering six utility tools, totaling $231.08. Approximately 30 days later, his tools had not arrived, though the website said orders take approximately two to three weeks to deliver. He e-mailed the business and requested an update but got no reply. He reported sending (approximately) 3 emails and 15 text messages in addition to making 20 phone calls to the business, but he did not receive a response. 

    The BBB sent a letter to the business and asked the owner to provide steps the business would take to alleviate its pattern of complaints. The owner replied and said he is transferring ownership of the business, but he did not list steps the business would take to alleviate its pattern of complaints.
