          BBB has received inquiries on Baker Classic Cars based on vehicle listings found on Facebook Marketplace.  Callers to BBB report someone claiming to be Kim Miller and/or Kim Baker represent themselves as the owner of this company.  https://bakerclassiccarsinc.com/ lists a kimmiller@bakerclassiccarsinc.com and a phone number of 309-240-6966. Callers state several email exchanges occur and instructions to wire the money for the purchase of the car to a Wells Fargo account and then the vehicle will be shipped. 

          According to the Illinois Secretary of State, Jack Baker is the President of Baker Classic Cars at 3212 N Main St. East Peoria IL 61611 and Thomas Baker is listed as the Secretary.  BBB records for the company include a phone number of 309-694-7000 for the company.  On July 11, 2024 BBB called 309-694-7000 and spoke with the owner, Jack Baker who stated his company name had been used in a scam on Facebook. Jack Baker said he was made aware of the issue in May of 2024 and has been working with the Illinois Attorney General's offie and FBI to investigate.   He stated he doesnt have a website for his company nor does he know or employ anyone named Kim Miller or Kim Baker.  He stated no one should send money to this man for the sale of a car.
