Misuse of BBB Name and/or Logo
On 11/17/2023, 12/04/2023 and 1/08/2023, the Better Business Bureau contacted Bates Funeral & Cremation Service requesting for the removal of BBB Accredited Business Torch logos from their website. Bates Funeral and Cremation Service is not an accredited business. Therefore, this business is currently violating the BBB's name and logo policy and has falsely stated BBB accreditation or referenced BBB's name in an unauthorized manner, despite BBB's efforts to get the business to cease using BBB's trademark. This use of BBB's trademark constitutes trademark infringement and is a violation of trademark rights of the International Association of Better Business Bureaus.
This matter has been referred to the International Association of Better Business Bureaus (IABBB) for further action.
