On January 10, 2023, Better Business Bureau was alerted to a business operating as Aimee K9 Malinois, http://aimeek9malinois.com/. Consumers reported attempting to purchase a puppy from this breeder. After payment, consumers allege Aimee K9 Malinois reached out requesting an additional deposit for shipping, but the puppy was never delivered. Consumers attempted to reach Aimee K9 Malinois for a resolution and never received a response.
BBB reached out to Aimee K9 Malinois to inform them of a consumer complaint. BBB was alerted by the recipient of our letter that they had been a victim of identity theft and had been notified of multiple businesses operating using their contact information and were working to report all of them as they do not own any businesses. BBB visited the advertised address and found that the address is a single-family home, and Aimee K9 Malinois is not located there.
WhoIs domain lookup showed that the domain was registered on November 30, 2022, and the website was updated on January 11, 2023. The Aimee K9 Malinois website is no longer available.
BBB called Aimee K9 Malinois at the advertised phone number; the phone number has been disconnected. BBB was unable to locate any additional contact information.
A business license search with the Idaho Secretary of State failed to provide licensing information for Aimee K9 Malinois.
According to information submitted on a consumer complaint, Aimee K9 Malinois reached out to the consumer and requested a photo of the consumer holding a valid ID to complete the transaction. The consumer expressed their concerns that Aimee K9 Malinois is perpetuating the scam by gathering information to create additional businesses using stolen identities. The consumer alleges that the transaction was completed using the Zelle app. BBB could not locate information about the recipient in the Zelle transaction.
