On November 16, 2018, BBB contacted this company in regards to their website claims of being "environmentally friendly" and using "modern green cleaning."
According to the BBB Code of Advertising, advertisers should not make broad, unqualified general environmental benefit claims like "green" or "eco-friendly." If a company chooses to do so, they must be able to qualify general claims with specific environmental benefits and possess competent and reliable evidence (often scientific evidence) to support their claims. Qualifications for any claim must be clear, conspicuous and understandable.
The company responded, however, their response did not qualify or substantiate their claims of being "green" or "eco-friendly."
