Additional Info
So that BBB may provide the most accurate and transparent information on Feeder Source to consumer inquiries, we sent our Standard Business Questionnaire for their completion and return.

Also requested were copies of any written agreements, contracts, literature, brochures and marketing materials used by Feeder Source.

BBB asked Feeder Source to provide answers to the following questions:

1. What is the physical location for your firm?

2. Please provide the names of the owner/principal officers for your company.

3. What is your company's phone number?

Feeder Source responded, in part, by stating the following: Our business is also one that needs to have a certain amount of privacy for safety concerns and you are wanting to publicly display our location and contact information. That would put us at GREAT physical risk to our business, staff, and livestock, with the line of business that we are in. We would rather not have to put armed guards at our facilities as so many in our industry have to. If you would like to further discuss this I am open to this when we meet as well, but part of what you are asking for in terms of a BBB solution will open us up to to physical violence or property damage if not the possibility of death itself to any of our staff.

BBB corresponded further with Feeder Source in requesting their voluntary cooperation in responding to unanswered complaints and completing the Agreement To Eliminate A Pattern Of Complaint. BBB stated we would suppress any information they felt merited.

As to date, BBB has not received any further correspondence from Feeder Source.
Products and Services
Feeder Source is an online retailer of food for reptiles. BBB Tips for Online Shopping: Know the advertiser.Check bbb.org before you buy to see if the company is Accredited and maintains a good BBB Rating. Some of the best deals are only available online but be careful. It's easy for a fake site to mimic a famous retailer's website, so make sure you are shopping with a legitimate online retailer. If the site is missing contact information, that is a red flag. Shop with a credit card.In case of a fraudulent transaction or instances where products are not received, a credit card provides additional protection. It's easier to dispute charges that you didn't approve or receive. Debit cards, prepaid cards or gift cards don't have the same protections as a credit card. Check a site's security settings. If the site is secure, its URL (web address) should start with "https://" and include a lock icon on the purchase or shopping cart page.â?¯ Be a savvy shopper. When shopping online, be sure to take your time, and read the fine print before submitting your order. Look for the return policy; although many online orders can be returned for a full refund, others have restocking fees. Some items cannot be returned; know before you buy. Protect personal information.Read a site's privacy policy and understand what personal information is being requested and how it will be used. If a site doesn't have a privacy policy, that's a big red flag that it may be a scam. Think before your click.Be especially cautious about email solicitations and online ads on social media sites. Many sketchy retailers advertise great deals or trendy clothing that don't measure up to the promotional hype. Beware of too-good-to-be-true deals.Offers on websites and in unsolicited emails may offer free or very low prices on hard-to-find items. There may be hidden costs or your purchase may sign you up for a monthly charge. Look for and read the fine print. Beware of phishing.Phishing emails can look like a message from a well-known brand, but clicking on unfamiliar links can place you at risk for malware and/or identity theft. One popular scam claims to be from a package-delivery company with links to "tracking information" on an order you don't remember making. Don't click! Keep documentation of your order.Save a copy of the confirmation page or email confirmation until you receive the item and are satisfied. Be sure to know and understand the return policy and keep this documented with your purchase records. Keep a clean machine.Install a firewall, anti-virus, and anti-spyware software. Check for and install the latest updates and run virus scans regularly on your computer, tablet, and smart phone.

Pattern of Complaints

BBB's role in the marketplace is to promote and foster ethical relationships between businesses and the public through voluntary self-regulation efforts.

After a review of Feeder Source's complaints on file with BBB, we noticed a pattern of complaint.

Specifically, consumers allege purchased products not being received or requested refunds not provided.

BBB requested the voluntary cooperation of Feeder Source in eliminating the pattern of complaint and sent an Agreement to Eliminate a Pattern of Complaint Form to
Feeder Source.

BBB requested at least three ways in which Feeder Source would implement to stop any pattern of complaint.

Feeder Source did not return the Agreement To Eliminate A Pattern of Complaint to BBB.
