BBB is aware that unsolicited robocalls are being made to consumers from companies who imply they are National Dealer Services and who are offering vehicle service warranties. Consumers contacting BBB allege in addition to robocalls, they have received brochures or flyers via mail with the same information. Complaints and BBB Scam Tracker submissions suggest the name of the company is "Interstate National Dealer Services, Inc.," a BBB Accredited Business.

BBB contacted Interstate National Dealer Services, Inc. to discuss the information outlined above and to seek their assistance in addressing the matter. The company responded to BBB by providing the following information:

"Interstate National Dealer Services, Inc. ("Interstate dba REVOLOS") does not make telemarketing calls and does not engage a third party to make such telemarketing calls on its behalf. However, it has come to our attention that competing businesses or marketers improperly identifying themselves as "National Dealer Services " have been calling consumers. Because such companies use the generic "National Dealer Services", if a consumer does an internet search for "National Dealer Services ," the consumer sees contact information for Interstate National Dealer Services for the top entries.

Interstate has tried diligently to identify the entity or entities behind the calls but has been unsuccessful to date. We have tracked and investigated numerous calls: the numbers have been spoofed. None of the calls were made by or on behalf of Interstate. For many of the calls, the number that shows on the caller id leads only to a recording about being placed on a Do Not Call list, with no ability to speak to a person.

Interstate National Dealer Services has notified the appropriate regulatory agencies and will continue its efforts to identify the companies or marketers behind the calls.

Interstate National Dealer Services provided BBB with copies of the letters sent to Georgia's Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission that state in part, that they are aware of the spoofing and are working proactively toward finding the names of the companies involved.

Consumers receiving robocalls and/or flyers are encouraged to file a formal complaint with BBB using the company name "National Dealer Service" for which BBB maintains a separate report that can be accessed by clicking here:https://www.bbb.org/us/ga/atlanta/profile/auto-warranty-plans/national-dealer-services-0443-28105316

Consumers who wish to lessen unsolicited telephone calls may contact The National Do Not Call Registry, https://www.donotcall.gov/, and choose whether they wish to receive telemarketing calls. After you register, other types of organizations may still call you, such as charities, political groups, debt collectors and surveys.

To stop unwanted mail, consumers can register at DMA's consumer website: www.DMAchoice.org for a processing fee of $2 for a period of ten years. Registering online is the fastest way to see results. DMAchoice offers consumers a simple, step-by-step process that enables consumers to decide what mail they do and do not want.

Please note that legitimate companies will adhere to the requests submitted to these agencies. This will not stop unethical companies or scammers from contacting you.
