Men's Residential Treatment supports the Pathways For Change mission by stewarding men through 6 phases of programming lasting eighteen 18 months in duration with the goal of changing hearts and minds from criminal and addictive behavior to a rational reasoning and behavioral lifestyle. Along with 27 core classes, the addition of a High Intensity Interval (Cardio-muscular) Training, Intro to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Shame Recovery and Yoga completes a holistic approach to healing. In 2018, this program served 48 men. The Family Center is strategically placed in a low-income area and along the bus route so men and women can walk to access our services, obtain a GED and transition into one of our certificate training programs or life skills classes, which are designed to assist with job placement and retention. We lift many barriers of poverty with on-site childcare (at no cost to clients), counseling, and case management services. In 2018, The Family Center served 360 clients with a total of 7,900 visits. These services included 459 counseling/case management sessions and 363 open computer lab visits (occupational achievement resources). 113 individuals graduated from one of our adult education programs, including GED, Home Health Aid, or CDL. The Family Center also served 38 Veterans and 55 Veteran family members.PFC's Clinton Cox Residence houses female veterans experiencing homelessness due to their post-traumatic stress and/or substance abuse in an 11 bed facility. Clients are actively working an individualized case plan, healing from trauma and setting goals for a new career, new relationships and permanent housing.
