Important information
- Additional Info:In some instances when the consumer decides to purchase and finance the system, two separate cancellation periods may apply. The Federal Trade Commission's (FTC's) Cooling-Off Rule applies to sales at the buyer's home. Under the Cooling-Off Rule, the consumer has a right to cancel for a full refund until midnight of the third business day after the sale. (Visit www.ftc.gov for complete information.) Cancellation must be done by mail, making sure the envelope is post-marked before midnight of the third business day after the contract date. (Saturday is considered a business day; Sundays and federal holidays are not.)
If you sign a financing agreement it will have a separate three day cancellation period. Therefore, if you cancel the financing, but not the purchase of the system, you still may be obligated to purchase the system.
