- Additional Info:BBB has received a pattern of complaints from consumers that have been scammed by criminals using the name Skytech Financing. The scam artists ask the consumers to wire transfer their first months payment through Western Union. Once the money is wired, the consumers hear back from them asking for additional funds for insurance, and they do not receive promised Loans.
Consumers filing BBB complaints have received emails and/or phone calls from fraudulent people claiming the customers have been approved for an $8000.00 loan. Consumers have been advised by these loan officers that the consumers need to wire transfer first month fee usually in the amount of $633.00 in order to get the loans. Once the Customers have sent these fees they then receive a call from Under Writing asking for additional fees for Insurance which Customers state they had refused to take out the Insurance. Consumers filing the complaints have been scammed out of amounts ranging from $600.-$2,670.
