Liberty Hard Assets has a agreed to a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Commerce based on allegations that from 2017-2021, the company sold bullion products to Minnesota consumers in amounts exceeding statutory thresholds without having first registered with the Department of Commerce in violation of Minn. Stat. § 80G.02 (2020). Liberty Hard Assets must pay a civil penalty of $1,000.00 and investigative costs of $90.00. In addition, the company shall cease and desist from violating any laws, rules, or orders related to the duties and responsibilities entrusted to the Commissioner of Commerce under Minnesota Statute Chapters 45 and BOG.
